Tom C. Davis
Owner and Partner
With over 47 years of construction experience Tom Davis has personally supervised the construction of more than 70,000 apartments, dormitories, condominiums and townhomes. He is also responsible for more than three million square feet of office retail, hotel, restaurant and warehouse construction.
Tom was raised on a ranch in West Texas by two wonderful, hardworking parents. After attending the University of Texas, where he studied business and engineering, Tom worked for Mitchell Energy Corporation in Vail, Colorado where he supervised the construction of hotels, condominiums and single-family dwellings.
In 1976, Tom joined Farb Investments and assumed the leadership of the organization’s construction company, including its in-house architectural group. Tom supervised the construction of more than 14,000 units and 1.5 million square feet of office and retail space for Farb Investments.
In 1986, Tom co-founded Davis Brothers Construction Company with his brother Robert N. Davis. In the 28 years that Davis Brothers has been in business, Tom has managed the construction of projects for many clients including Jenard Gross Investments, Sueba USA, Century Development, Harold Farb Investments, American Campus Communities, Texas State University System, Real Estate Corporation of America, JTS Interests, and Andover Development. Davis Brothers Construction has a General Contractor’s license for Colorado, Florida, Georgia, and Louisiana. Davis Brothers have been very blessed to build a wonderful company with many great employees.
Tom has also been blessed with two wonderful children. His daughter Elizabeth graduated with her master’s degree from SMU, is married and lives in Brenham, TX. His son Thomas lives in Houston and is a Project Manager for Davis Brothers Construction. Thomas graduated from Colorado State University.
Tom is very active with charities here in Houston. He has worked with the Star of Hope Mission for 20 years and served on their board for nine years. He has been a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for 26 years. He served as Vice President of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He has been on the Board of Directors for over twelve years. His other charity he loves is Elves & More. It is the charity that gives away bicycles to children that live in areas under the poverty level. Last year they gave away over 10,000 bicycles. The year before they gave away over 20,000 bicycles. All total they have given away over 135,000 new bicycles. Tom is also on their Board of Directors. His job allows him the time to give back to others through these charities. The good Lord has blessed him in so many ways.
Tom was also one of the founders of The Mary Jane Hamilton Con dios Foundation in memory of his friend, Mary Hamilton. Its mission is to support the education for the youth of Texas in Mary’s memory.
